• Description: Prepare for a fun and challenging day. This rugged and demanding race course starts with a 2.5 mile semi-technical trail run, including .6 miles of pavement followed by 1.9 miles of twisty, rocky, and rooty single-track. You will need to stay focused during the entire race as there are plenty of roots, rocks, leaves, downed trees, slippery slopes, etc. After the first run segment, all racers head out to complete one 8 mile lap of the Fountainhead mountain bike course. This super fun mountain bike course is known as one of the best and most challenging in the Northern Virginia area. After transitioning from the bike, racers will complete the race with a 3.6 mile trail run. The final trail run includes all the terrain of the first trail running segment as well as an additional 1.1 miles of sweet single-track.
