  • Description: The course is out-and back along the historic Delaware Canal State Park towpath trail from Yardley north through New Hope, Pennsylvania, returning to Yardley. Built in 1832, the tow path is narrow in some sections, requiring single file travel. The towpath has several camelback bridge underpasses with low clearance. There are 24 bridge underpasses along the course, for a total of 48 under-passings. Tall people will feel the need to duck under a few of them. The largest hill on the course is the 14 step stair climb from Main Street up to the LockMasters House in New Hope, adjacent to the “Boomer” statue The Bucks County Marathon starts and finishes at SEPTA’s Yardley Station of the West Trenton regional Rail line. The first and last .3 miles are on paved surface
