• Description: NEW for 2012! An additional, longer distance race is being added. Start near the Towpath Trail off W. Jefferson, then run the Towpath Trail to Rockhill Park, cross Jefferson, merge with the 4 mile runners into Lindenwood Cemetery and then cross the finish line at the campus. Shuttle bus service will be available. Start time is being determined, but will start before 8:30 AM to allow smooth merger with 4 milers. Exact distance of the longer event is being determined.
  
  The Galloping Gobbler has become Fort Wayne’s new family tradition for Thanksgiving. Make room for the turkey and trimmings by running the four mile Galloping Gobbler course or the NEW for 2012 longer course alternative. The four miler starts at the Hutzell Athletic Center on the campus of the University of Saint Francis and then takes you through Fort Wayne’s historic Lindenwood Cemetery before finishing back at campus.
  
  Music, a live turkey, a costume turkey mascot, chip timing, and over 3600 runners make this a time to share with family and friends.
