• Description: For many years, Scottsboro has been home to a number of athletic events which have showcased the natural beauty of the area. These events include the Carlos Serrano 5k, Frank Maples Triathlon, Frantic Frog Triathlon and most recently the Goosepond Island Half Distance Triathlon.
  
  The Scottsboro Half Marathon will continue the tradition of offering friendly, personal attention to the athletes who come here to take part in one of our signature events. Nestled within the Sequatchie Valley, Scottsboro is situated on the along the banks of the Tennessee River and Guntersville Lake.
