- Description: This event will be held at Ottawa Lake in the Southern Kettle Morraine Forest. With kid's races on Saturday, and adult Sprint and Olympic distance races on Sunday, there is something for the whole family!
A portion of your registration fee and all fundraising proceeds benefit Tri-ing for Children's, Inc., a non-profit charity for children's hospitals.
Ages 3-4: 25 yd swim, 1/4 mile bike, .10 mile run Ages 5-6: 50 yd swim, 1 mile bike, .25 mile run Ages 7-10: 100 yd swim, 3 mile bike, .5 mile run Ages 11-14: 200 yd swim, 6 mile bike, 1 mile run
Kid's Swim: The kid's swim is based on the distances above. The swim is along the shore of Ottawa Lake, a clear, spring-fed lake. Kids are allowed to use floatation devices as needed. Lifeguards and North Prairie Fire/Rescue will be present in the water to ensure safety.
All distances are rectangular shaped, keeping the buoys to the right. Kids ages 3-10 will be in water that is shallow enough that walking is possible. Kids are still encouraged to be able to swim and should swim if possible.
Kid's Bike: The kid's bike course is on park trails and/or closed park roads. Safety is the number one concern. Kids 3 - 6 will do one lap. Kids 7-14 will do two laps on the bike. Training wheels are acceptable.
Kid's Run: The kid's run course is on park trails and closed park roads. Distances are above. There will be one aid station that will be used for ages 5 and up. The aid station will have water only.
