• Description: he Derby Day Dash is the most significant fund raising event held by Life Essentials. This annual 5K Run and Walk involves people of every age and coincides with the Kentucky Derby. The professionally designed course starts and ends at Island Park and snakes along the Great Miami River. Once everyone has finished the race, prizes are awarded for participants in various age categories, farthest distance traveled, and best hat! More than $2,000 in merchandise and gift certificates are awarded at the race.
