• Description: The Hawk Island Triathlon, Michigan's largest sprint triathlon and one of the most popular Midwest triathlons for beginners, has an event just for kids - the Hawk-I-Kids-Tri!
  
  This event is hosted by the Lansing Triathlon Team & South Lansing Community Development Association. Ages 14 & under can enter the world of triathlon with courses designed just for them, including a swim portion where racers can touch at all times!
  
  The entire race will be within Hawk Island County Park, providing optimum safety for racers & visibility for parents! All triathletes will receive a finisher's medal, race t-shirt, and goodie bag. Awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finishers in each age category. This event celebrates health, self-esteem, self-confidence and fun, in a safe, family-friendly environment. All participants will be cheered through the course and rewarded with a medal at the finish.
  
  Ages 6 & under: 25m Swim, 150m Bike, 100m Run (Swim aids & training wheels allowed)
  Ages 10 & under: 100m Swim, 3 mile Bike, 1 mile Run
  Ages 11-14: 200m Swim, 4.5 mile Bike, 2 mile Run
