• Description: The Ann Arbor Mile — Dart for Art kicks off the 2015 Townie Street Party, which supports the Ann Arbor Street Fair, the Original, one of the country’s top-rated art fairs. The Art Fair draws hundreds of artists and thousands of visitors from all across America to Ann Arbor each July. The Ann Arbor Mile has a similar goal: to draw the nation’s top runners to compete for $3,000 in cash awards in the Dart for Art Elite Division, in conjunction with the Bring Back the Mile movement. But that’s not all. Recognizing that the Original Ann Arbor Street Art Fair is much beloved by residents, the Ann Arbor Mile — Dart for Art will also be an all-inclusive race, with divisions for local athletes, families, and anyone who wishes to enjoy a one-mile run in downtown Ann Arbor. Finally, to celebrate the terrific team spirit in our community, the Ann Arbor Mile includes a corporate challenge to see who has the fastest company in Michigan. The race will finish at one of the great traditions of Ann Arbor: the Ann Arbor Townie Party, where each participant (21 and over) will receive FREE BEER to celebrate their achievement!
