• Description: The Outland Challenge Olympic Triathlon will begin and end in Lake Cochrane State Park. The swim-leg will consist of a 1.5 kilometer swim in Lake Cochrane, which is one of the cleanest lakes in South Dakota. Athletes then complete a 40 kilometer bike ride through the hilly terrain featuring many streams, oak covered draws, and open rolling prairie. Finally, participants will complete the course with a 10 kilometer run around beautiful Lake Cochrane.
