- Description: The Lake Davidson Sprint Triathlon is on Sunday, September 11, 2016 at 8am on the Ingersoll Rand Campus in Davidson, NC. This venue has proven to be a memorable setting for triathletes,
from beginners to seasoned veterans. The 500 yard swim is a closed loop in a protected cove in Lake Davidson. The 13 mile bike ride leaves the Ingersoll Rand campus to form a loop just north of Davidson with great police support at intersections. The run is a closed loop following the walking trails that surround the Ingersoll Rand campus and stays on the campus to create a safe and scenic venue. This USAT sanctioned event is the third event of the 2016 Jimmie Johnson Foundation Wellness Challenge. The event can be done as an individual or as a relay team. The Jimmie Johnson Foundation is proud to announce that event proceeds from the Wellness Challenge will support current Foundation programs.
