He was sitting in 3" of snow on the side of the trail. After giving him a thorough lecture I escorted him a mile down the mountain and tucked him away in a decomposing log surrounded by ferns and salal.

Dave is making his way back up from a somewhat deeper region. The smell discouraged me from venturing that far.
Maneesh-the sensible one.
He is getting a bit impatient with our foolishness. I guess it is time to venture back to the shelter of the forest and bring our outing to a close.
