I bought these goggles when my trusty old pair began to falter. I thought that they were kind of expensive, but decided to give them a shot...after I had heard so much about them. After a month of use...I will tell you that they rock. I am so glad that I spent the extra cash. They are easy to adjust, and the adjustment creates a custom fit that is hard to beat. These are definitely worth the money.
Read MoreMy trusty Lane 4 goggles began leaking about three weeks before Ironman Wisconsin, so the search was on for a replacement. Good seal and comfort were the determining factors for me. I tried on pretty much every goggle option at the store, including offerings from Lane 4, TYR and Speedo. The Speed Sockets were by far the most expensive option so I really wanted one of the other options to feel as good on my face but they just didn't come close. Given that IMWI was the primary concern, I decided to pony up the extra cash for the Speed Sockets. Boy, am I glad I did.
These goggles seal as well as any I have ever used. The elastic strap is easily adjustable. The goggles come with several options for nose pieces, and they are relatively easy to change to get the right fit. Really the only drawback to this model is that you can't just adjust the nosepiece any time, rather, you need to think ahead and get them set up right ahead of time. Given that they are holding up well after a few months of use I don't find this to be a drawback at all.
If you swim long, these goggles are worth the extra bucks. I recommend them.
