Over all I think that this is a great bike but I don't have much to compare.

Zero Wheelsets are supposedly manufactured by Zipp, just don't have dimples. I will write another review for the front wheel. The disc looks great, you can also get it in 650. Price, compared to many other disc's is great. Especially if you get the 25% Team Javelin discount. I got my set off ebay and used the disc for the RI 70.3. Blew by almost everyone on downhills (I give this to the aero effect).
Highly recommended.

Specialized said it best:
Why leave any room for doubt in your mind or anyone else's? Ride the best cross-country racing machine out there. For '02, our fully active and totally proven FSRxc suspension is set in a chassis of new, uper-light M5 material that has been designed with our Optimized Radius Engineering (ORE) to optimize and minimize material usage. Now with a full complement of
cartridge bearings at the pivots and titanium hardware all around. The spec is world class: Fox Air Float RL shock, RockShox SID Race fork, Mavic CrossMax UST wheels and our own Rockster 1.9" tubeless tires. Heck, even the Team Glo Red paint is fast!

This was my first pair of tri shorts, so I don't really have a comparison, but you should give them a try. For such a low cost, you really can't lose. These have been through miles of training rides, plenty of chlorine in the community center pool and one sprint tri and they're still looking pretty good.

Great bike for the money. I love zipping around and even though it doesn't have the triple chainring, it's still easy to climb hills.

I have liked my Nibus 9's and I think Asics builds a good shoe, we'll see how they perform...

I love this bike for a first Tri Bike. It isn't the best and fastest out there but for the money if your just getting into the sport you can't beat this deal. I'm avg. 21mph for 25 miles on this bike and I can't imagine a $3000 bike would make me that much faster. If I were doing a half Ironman or more I might step up to a new bike but still not sure if it's neccessary. The bike will only go as fast and far as the rider will take it.
