"Worth $30 - even worth it to me to buy a used Nano to be able to use it. Love the Challenges, love the single button verbal update on time/distance/pace. Basic, inexpensive solution until they work out the kinks in the Garmin 405s of the world that would make it worth investing in one of those."running4beer
Ease of use
Hit the button and go. Charting just involves plugging the iPod Nano into iTunes. Easy pie.
Quality of Construction
Mine's been running fine for over a year, even with my sensor in a non-waterproof pouch on top of my shoe during rainy runs and running in cold or snowy Boston winter. However, my boyfriend's sensor conked out after just a couple months of use - unclear why.
Value
Not high tech stuff, but gives a decent bang for a nothing investment.
Customer Service
The sometimes buggy online charting, changes to challenges, and online forums are answered online by nice Nike+ folks, but the Community is huuuuge and they can only answer so much so quickly.
Performance
All around good product if your expectations of it are reasonable. It's no high tech GPS watch, but it's fun, has some options you won't find elsewhere, and it does the trick for tracking your training runs.
Strengths
Cheap, easy to use. Challenges are great. Simple charting that just requires plugging in to iTunes.
Weakness
Not super accurate (but great for $30!) but close if you calibrate a couple times a year or if you change shoes. Online matching with a training program is a little buggy.

Ease of installation
Easy to calibrate on a track. Easy to set up with shoe pouch instead of investing in Nike+ shoes.
