"It is an accelerometer based distance measuring device. Accuracy may be questioned if my stride rate is changed often (it's not). It's a good tool showing & recording speed, miles/min and total distance. Good accessory to the Suunto watch."KenD

Ease of installation

The tabs slide into the shoe laces of your shoe. But it stays put. Have not had to mess with it since I put it on.

After the initial synching with the watch, it's now litrally just press a button on the POD and a button on the watch.

All plastic construction. Nothing special but not falling apart either.

Durable. It's been thru water, dirt, etc with no problems.
