"I would buy this bike used again. It has everything I need for trails and commuting to the office. It is a great starter bike that is easy to build onto as your riding style progresses."young.emt
Quality of Construction
This bike has been through it all and still in one piece.
Fit
I'm 5' 8" and this medium fits me perfect. The seat and handle bars are easy to adjust to fit 3" either way of my height.
Comfort
It has good travel on the front fork for good braking on the trail. Its light enough to float over logs and bumps without too much vibration.
Adjustability
It could go a little further on some things like the handle bars but it works for me and my height and reach.
Durability
It will take a beating and keep going. The Alpha frame holds up to any crash. The original components are strong.
Value
Great ride for the price! I have had this bike from brand new and its still in great shape!
Appearance
The Trek 1900 looks great with the red, white, black and silver color. It has the appearance of a great trail rider.
Performance
Smooth rides on the trail and easily used as a commuter.
Strengths
Great trail bike, light weight, easy to modify and adjust to personal preference.
Weakness
Its an older bike (Trek no longer makes the 1900 Alpha) so parts do wear and tear easier.

Ease of use
It's gearing is great for trails and moderate for road or commuting. Easy to put panniers on for commuting.
