"If you're in the market for a new bike and you find yourself in this mid-level price range. you owe it to yourself to take a VERY close look at the P2C."bmcgee
Ease of use
This bike handle well but is very quick and springy.
Quality of Construction
Great quality and super-aero (espcially for the price). However, you can tell they skimpped on the components. The brakes are tetkro 9even though they say cervelo) and the bars that come standard are the vision aluminums (which i consider to be very uncomfortable). However, I did get the reb/white/black model which came standard with full dura-ace.
Fit
This bike fits well. I am 5'9" and about 152lbs. with a pretty average body build (no long arms, legs or torso). The bike fits well and I've inched it down to a very aggressive position over the last couple months.
Comfort
The bike will take some getting used to if you are not used to being in a more aggressive riding position...but I guess you'll always scrifice comfort for speed on some level.
Adjustability
This bike is very adjustable offering two different seat angles and tons of adjustability up front as well.
Durability
So far so good...honestly I hope I never have to test this with a crash or anything.
Value
This is probably the very best value in all of triathlon. A bike tha thas won in kona (TWICE) for less than $3,500...?!?! It really is a steal. Plus it a cervelo...need I say more?
Appearance
To look at it from the font or the back...it's like a razor blade. Most other bikes on this level may have the back wheel cut-out and aero bars and a steep seat angle...but their tubes are no where near as aero as cervelo. It just looks fast when you look at it that way (which is really the only way that matters).
Customer Service
I have not had to worry about this...(yet?). However, i bought it from Richardson bike mart (richardson, TX) and they are always ready and willing to help out with my biking needs.
Performance
Well...I've yet to PR, but I've only raced it once after having about 3 weeks to train on it. We'll see very shortly. All signs tell me that my biking is about to get rediculously better.
Strengths
This bike has the best value of anything out there (dura ace, full carbon, best aerodynamics of any sub $4,500 bike). 2 kona wins in the last two years. Light, stiff, and again...super-aero. Did I mention it was aero?
Weakness
You may want to replace some of the stock compnents (mainly the aerobar set up). It's sin to have all that carbon and them slap an aluminum bar on it...
Ease of installation
Bike was complete and ready to ride after an intensive fit session.
