"I was skeptical about these shoes. I bought a pair of Asics Kinsei 2's a couple weeks ago, which I still like, but after trying these Newtons, I don't think I'll be buying anymore mainstream brands for a while. These shoes are awesome. Being a forefoot runner already, adapting to these shoes shouldn't be a problem. I'll be buying a pair of the racers sometime in the near future."emzman

Seems like they're built well. The material around the toe box area might not hold up.

Pretty optimistic about ordering without trying on first, but when I received them, they fit like a glove.

Very cushy. Will need to get used to the feeling of the actuators on the forefoot.

We'll have to see at about 100 miles.

This ($175) is the most I have ever paid for any kind of shoe. I read other reviews where people received a pair of Newton socks and a fancy bag...not me. WTF!!!

They were out of the black shoes, so I settled with the silver. Looks very smooth.

I emailed Newton a couple weeks ago about retailers selling their shoes in the Portland area. They responded pretty quick. Unfortunately, there are no stores in the area.

Feels like I'm running a little faster...on a treadmill though. Definitely have to make sure you're running on an incline. I'll have to revise after running outside.

Shoes fit great. Really helps with running on your forefoot. Very light shoes, at least, lighter than what I'm used to wearing.

None so far.
