"Pretty great tool, can give a lot of information."wsm9363
Ease of use
Occational issues with picking up the signals. Once in a while you lose the signel in tree cover.
Quality of Construction
I have had no issues with how it was made.
Comfort
Watch is comfortable, as is the chest strap.
Adjustability
I think large men would have issues with the watch, and I know that large men would need an extender for the strap as well.
Durability
Nothing really to wear out on this, other than batteries. The strap batteries wear out after about 5-6 months. I have had to replace 2-3 times. It does not give ANY real signal that it needs replaced, just stops working or give really odd readings.
Value
It was a reasonable price verses the other products out there.
Appearance
Size is a little large, and screen could be larger.
Customer Service
I can't really rate. I have not had to address anything with Garmin.
Performance
Minor issues with signal pickup in tree cover. Great IF you run only open roads. Running in trees, you will likely not get accurate readings.
When the strap battery runs out, you can get some spotty readings. HR goes way high, peaks and drops without making any sense.
Strengths
Softwear is pretty slick, but if you don't do laps, you can not get mile (distance) times. So if you want splits you have to either do manually or set up to auto lap every X minutes or X distance. You can do either.
Information is great, having the ablity to down load a race and see what was happening during a specific spot.
Weakness
It would be nice to have a foot pod for tree cover, or indoor training. You can do based on time, but not as helpful in some ways.
Wearing in water, for laps, you can not do that. Strap slips down and is not water proof.
