"Zoot Energy shoes shine through for multisport athletes. The shoe was mostly comfortable from the start. They are lightweight and have been durable thus far. You have to try these shoes!"JHag

The shoes come ready to wear. The quick/elastic laces are preset and all you need to do is pull them as tight as you want them.

The shoes do not have the typical tab on the heel to pull the shoe on. I don't know about you, but my fingers never got into those loops anyway. Zoot placed a plastic-type piece on the outter part of the heel of this shoe and raised the back a little more high. This allows a quick and slip resistent grip so you can pull the heel up while holding the tongue in place.

I think the shoe is good quality. But I did notice that my small toes pushes out the side wall of the shoe a bit more than with other shoes I've worn in the past. I don't have wide feet, but I think the material is just thin enough to see that protrusion. I'd bet that you couldn't look at my shoe and notice it, but I'm a bit OCD.

Other than the toe issue, the shoe feels great. I tried to wear the shoe with socks for my first run and the shoes were tight. The Energy shoe is meant to be worn sockless, do it and they fit and feel good.

The Energy shoes are very comfortable. Again, I found that if you wear socks, they are too tight, so maybe buy a half size up if you have that burning desire to wear socks. The basic support is there. I have a normal foot and some 'neutral' shoes feel like they have way too much arch support, these do not.

The quick laces are sweet! There is a lock on where the laces come through the top of the shoe, pull up and out, and the laces lock as tight as you pull them. Pull them out and down to release the laces in order to loosen them up.

They have held up well so far, but I haven't put more than 100 miles on them. The sole of the shoe doesn't look like it's wearing too fast and the upper material seems to be constructed well enough to last a solid season.

When compared to similar weight shoes with Yankz or Lock Laces, the price is a bit steep. I wanted the Zoot name (I can be honest). I think they are a definitely a step up for multisport use over shoes designed for runners.

Overall I like the design of the shoe. But I don't like any manufacturer posting their name/logo over half of the top of the product. No big deal, just personal preference.

I have not yet had any reason to contact Zoot. The local shop were I bought the shoes has a 'No questions asked' return policy.

Zoot's Energy shoe is great. I just ran a Du in these shoes this past weekend. The shoe was easy off even though my feet were a touch sweaty. I worried about the liner coming out, but no problems on race day!

Zoot Energy is multisport focused. They designed the shoe to be worn sockless, quick drying and easy on/off. Chalk those up as successful.

The toe seems to cut in to early and puts a slight bit of pressure on my small toe. I assume the issue will be resolved after a few more miles. They are not so uncomfortable that I would consider taking the shoes back to return for something else.
