"I love Garmin outdoor products and use them for running, cycling, geocaching, hiking and kayaking and I swear by the products. I love my 705 and the data it provides. It's nice to have the data for my logs so I can compare my improvements and its nice to have the maps when I have to ride in a new city because work has me out of town and my bike is with me. I use the 705 each time I'm on the bike and I'm always happy with it, I would buy another unit in a hot second if anything ever happened to my first unit."Big-Man55

Installing the Edge itself is quite easy, find a position and zip-tie it down. The box includes two mounts depending on which way the bar you are mounting it to is set up. My bikes are both different so the two mounts covered both of my road bikes, very convenient.

The unit is quite easy to use. I own more Garmin units than you care to know so I am use to their operating system and I really like it.

The unit seems to mount easily and be made quite well. Mine has not been tested for durability yet but a friend of mine accidentally his and it was perfect.

The screens can give you a great amount of data, almost more than you can process when you are riding and it works with various power meters to give you a great picture of your performance. You can really tailor the unit to give you what you want.

The price is a bit high for a "computer" but it is more than that and it gives me a great amount of data to compare and see how I am approving. It can be used for vehicle navigation also.

It looks nice and professional and it is exceptionally easy to read, even in direct sunlight.

As I will cover below, I have had some issues with my unit and the one stand out thing has been Garmin's customer service, these guys rock. They have stepped me though the problems quickly and I continue to deal with the same guy and he has a great attitude and really wanted to help.

I gave this a four instead of a five for two reasons. I would like for the device to scroll through the data pages automatically like the Forerunner 305 does so I don't have to do it manually while I'm riding. Also, mine has had some problems with changing the way it stores data internally and when it does the data is not readable in the Garmin Training Center. This has been a huge pain in the neck because I cannot create routes on the system or download my full ride data and plan routes with my wife. Garmin has been awesome though on fixing the problem and making sure my unit works exactly as it is supposed to.

I like the mapping, how easy it is to see the screen in any light, good battery life, and it gives you a ton of data at the touch of a button. The data is updated each second so I can see my speed, HR, cadence, distance and power on the same screen with no delay. I love it. It's also very nice to download the data and see the numbers and where all I went on the map. The unit can be set up for three different bicycles, which is nice because I own three. Also, with a map program running the unit can be used in a vehicle with turn by turn directions.

So far I have only had an issue with the data storage failure, which is an odd problem that they have not had with any other units but it is being fixed by software now. I would like for it to scroll screens by itself.
