"I would totally recommend this bike. So far I love it."amy340

Purchased at REI; it was boxed up for the flight home in a bike box. Bike was left mostly assembled.

I had a bike mechanic put the wheels and pedals on and fine tune the fit for me. I practiced clipping in and out of the pedals. Then I was set to go. What's hard about that?

Very stiff and responsive. Gears are smooth and quiet.

Excellent. I used the REI bike fitting guide, and I had a local bike mechanic fine tune the seat and handlebars.

This is a men's bike, and as a women I found the stock saddle torturously anatomically unfeasible. This was even after attending cycling classes for 3 months prior to the purchase. Ladies, throw the seat out in the store and have them put a female-compatible seat on.

Not sure what this means.

I haven't owned it long enough.

I love this bike. It feels like I am flying. It is very responsive, and weighs in at 19 pounds. Shimano 105 components are smooth and quiet. It came highly recommended by my more knowledgeable biking friends as well my local bike mechanic.

I like it fine, but I don't know much about road biking as I am a new racer. However, I get lots of compliments on this bike from others who've been doing this a lot longer than me.

It's REI. They're great.

I've found the gear range is broad enough for me to ascend long steep hills and really get my speed up coming back down those same hills.

I was cautioned by REI staff that this bike works best for those with long torsos. I have wide shoulders, long arms, small hips, and a long torso. This bike is an excellent fit.

For a woman, the seat is straight out of hell. Also, if your legs are not very strong, the lowest gear might not be low enough if you ride serious hills without crushing your spirit.
