"Great deal on a great entry carbon bike. Take it to a LBS to assemble and get fitted."Josh_Woodrow
Ease of use
Easy
Quality of Construction
Excellent
Fit
I'm 5'7" and I have a 52cm...fits nicely
Comfort
Excellent.
Adjustability
The seat post Bikesdirect supplied does not suit my frame well (short legs, longer torso).
Durability
unknown...I've had the bike for 3 days.
Value
Unbeatable!
Appearance
Red and Black...no issues.
Customer Service
almost non-existent with this website. You get what you pay for.
Performance
Previous to this bike, I had a Cannondale synapse with an aluminum frame and carbon forks. The speed and comfort of this Kestrel is above and beyond.
Strengths
BikesDirect has smokin' deals every now and then. This Kestrel Talon was on-sale at my LBS for $1900 and bikesdirect offered it for 1500 with an Ultegra package. The carbon frame rides very nice.
Weakness
Assembly, assembly, assembly. Also, the Ritchey aero bars are less-than-optimal.

Ease of installation
I ordered a new 2007 Kestrel Talon from BikesDirect. The website specifically stated this particular bike would be professionally shipped; however, when it arrived not even the derailers were properly put together.
