"Great first road bike. I feel like I purchased a quality starter ride that will serve me well for my first sprint and mini tris (or "t-shirt" races as the salesman called them) but didn't spend a fortune in the event I'm not on the road all the time."Texesq
Quality of Construction
Secure, responsive ride.
Fit
Good size variety.
Comfort
Stock seat is uncomfortable. For training, I'd recommend an ergo seat.
Value
With Trek's sale, I got the bike for $200.00 off the MSRP.
Appearance
Nice look.
Performance
Shifters could be crisper. Like the speedtrap set-up in the fork, although compatible computers are pricey.
Strengths
Quick, responsive ride. Shimano Sora shifters are a good transition shifter for someone that rides mountain bikes because of thumb shift location. They aren't as crisp as the 105s or even the Tiagra shifters you get with the Trek 2 series.
Weakness
Components.
- 46 people use
- 570 workouts logged
- 25658.26 miles / 1677.46 hours logged
Ease of use
Easy to use.
