"My bike is an amalgamation of parts built by my Bife Fitter brother. It is a Trek road frame with capagnola front deraileur and Shimano mountain bike back deraileur. 16 gears only. I am still trialing seats. Shimano mountain bike pedals.
Hey, it works. Will be on the market for a tri bike in 2010 or 2011 depending on pregnancy plans. :)"JRoenke
Ease of use
strange derailleur set up due to what he had available
Quality of Construction
handles my use, 100-150 miles/week at most.
Fit
Was second hand, so not fitted to me at purchase. Easily adjusted to work for me.
Comfort
seat is a problem, not the bike as far as I can tell
Adjustability
Seat height and position and old school handle bars adjusted to optimize position for comfort and decreased carpel tunnel pain.
Durability
No cracks or frame issues over several years of moderate use.
Value
unsure
Appearance
hilarious, but I have beaten some guys on $3000+ bikes with power taps on my beater bike.
Customer Service
never contacted since it is second hand
Performance
works for me, but my skill level is past this set up. Need a serious upgrade
Strengths
Frame has handled everything I do.
Weakness
Need to get a normal derailleur set up!
