"Good wintertime running base layer. You could probably layer these under another pair of pants for extra warmth, or put a waterproof pair of track pants over them, if you wanted to."kat_astrophe

Nicely constructed cold-weather running tight. These tights are made with moisture-wicking fabric, and they have a fleecy inside for extra warmth. I would give the construction a 5, except for there was a loose thread inside one cuff, which I clipped off with nail scissors.

Nike seems to size their running clothing rather generously. I wear a small 8 or a large 6 in pants. I tried on the "medium" size of tights, and they were not tight enough to stay on during a run, so I went with the small. If you are a small size 6 or a size 4, you will probably want the extra-small, and if you are a size 0 or 2, these tights might not fit you even in extra-small.

These are my most comfortable pair of winter running tights. I really like the microfleece on the inside. The outer part is not waterproof, but it does stop wind better than I expected. The seams are all flat so they don't chafe, and there is a gusset so that you don't need to have underwear under your tights if that bothers you. The waistband is flat and very comfortable/flattering, and there are little ankle-grippers at the bottom of the legs.

They're tights. They stretch to a certain degree. These tights only have the elastic waistband, not a drawstring (which I prefer -- I find drawstrings uncomfortable). However, that means that you can't cinch it really tight like you can cinch a drawstring on a pair of pants.

Don't know yet :)

$50 is a bit steep, but these are very warm and comfy tights.

Basic black, goes with everything. The finish is kind of matte, which I prefer (I hate going around with shiny skin-tight spandex on my legs or something like that.)

I have only worn these on short runs so far, but they performed great. No uncomfortable bunching-up or slippage. They're a good weight for runs between 20-40 degrees, maybe down into the teens if you have a high tolerance for cold.

Warm, comfortable, well-fitting.

Probably wouldn't be warm enough on their own for runs in very cold weather; these tights are not waterproof or water-resistant, so a waterproof layer would be critical for wet-weather runs in the wintertime.
