"Having had a speed only wireless Cateye and then purchasing this model makes me question what the engineers at Cateye are thinking! Will not buy another Cateye unless they fix this problem and make it as responsive as their original product."vinuzot
Ease of use
I have had other Cateye cyclocomputers and they seemed to be easier to navigate then this one. Difficult to go back and forth. Have to scroll through all the screens if you go on screen to far.
Quality of Construction
Was on a 4,000 mile ride and had to talk the battery out, reset multiple times. Seems like if it was wet at all, not rain but just damp air it would not start.
Fit
Seems to fit the bike fine. Good airo.
Adjustability
End user can not make any changes to screen set up.
Durability
See above. When doing long rides it is important that the computer works.
Value
I don't feel I received my monies worth.
Appearance
Black and so is my bike.
Customer Service
When I was training for this long ride I asked my bike shop mechanic if it should go to sleep and require a button push to wake it up, he said no. My other Cateye did not have this problem. The mechanic called the service center and was told "due to being wireless for both speed and cadence we had to design it so that there was less chance of cross talk." No idea what that had to do with the problem of the computer not waking up until 1/2 mile down the road. Basically felt like customer service was saying "we really don't care."
Performance
POOR!!!! When I am doing 25-50 mile rides by myself it is not that big of a deal to lose 1/2-3/4 mile of distance. On a long ride like across America you lose a lot of distance and have a hard time keeping track of distance. Plus having to consistently re-seat the battery takes time. Had to do it in the middle of the day after lunch on two occasions.
Strengths
Wireless
Weakness
Goes to sleep after a short time and have to push a button to wake it up, even then it does not start tracking right away.

Ease of installation
Not to hard to set up but the magnets did need to be adjusted.
