"Great new product. The 110 cuts out the unneccessary functions like virtual parter, endlessly customizable screens, maps, and waypoints, and delivers a no-nonsense watch that gives you the data you need to get the most out of your workouts. It's everything you've wanted your old Garmin to be, and nothing that you didn't want it to be."getsome

Menus are simple to navigate, and quite intutive, especially having been a past 305 user.

One-piece band is attractive and solid. Although it feels very light, I am not concerned about there being any lack of quality.

(5)

Very smooth fit on my rather small wrist. Without exaggerating, it is 10x more comfortable than the old 305 format. The latch and strap holder are unobrustive, and there is a hole for every possible wrist size. Should fit everybody very well. The face is not excessively large, either, but is big enough to display 3 pieces of data in good fashion.

Tops for comfort. Doesn't have a mind of its own while running, by which I mean it stays put, and it's easy to forget it's on your arm.

(5)

Plenty of adjustability for any sized wrist.

Price point is a bit high, but considering it does come with the Heart Rate Monitor strap and functionality, in one relatively small, sleek, package, it is probably justified.

Great-looking timepiece. Doesn't overpower my thin wrist. People will not likely gawk, but if they asked aobut your watch, they would be surprised to find that it has GPS and HRM capabilities.
The dark gray with red stripe is masculine and attractive. The women's version is equally feminine, but not foofy.
At night, you will find that the "light" function has been improved drastically (compared to previous models) to incorporate a fully backlit LED-style crisp, blue-white color. Very sharp!

Right out of the box, it was easy to set up on the charger. Getting to a full charge to about 75 minutes.
It located sattelites with improved speed, compared to the 305 model, even on the first try. No trouble accomplishing this indoors.
Setting up the user profile was simple and straightforward. Even a lazy monkey could do it.
On its first test run, it worked as advertized, and it performed flawlessly. HRM signal was accurate and reliable throughout.
One surprise was the deletion of "current/instantaneous pace" reading in favor of a pace predictor. It effectively estimates when you'll reach your next mile.

Major advancements in aesthetics versus the 305 sytle. Major functionality improvements of the bezel-controlled 405 models. The Garmin 110 uses 4 simple buttons around the outside of the watch. They are easy to operate, yet not so sensitive that they would be likely to get hit on accident.
Again, the backlight is tremendous.
The 110 functions as a normal watch in Power Save Mode, and can do so for up to 3 weeks. Rejoice, Garmin lovers. Your watch can actually be a watch now! Take it with you for a weekend and forget your charger at home, it's no big deal. Not only CAN you use it as your everyday watch, but you may WANT to because it's pretty darn attractive from where I'm sitting.

The 110 sacrifices customization for it's size, weight, and price. Therefore, it can only display 3 pieces of data on the screen at any given time, and options for those are limited. For example, you can see:
1. distance, elapsed time, and pace
Or
2. distance, elapsed time, and heart rate
3. current time
