"The Garmin Quick-Release Kit is (in my opinion) a must-buy for all owners of Forerunner 205/305 watches."bigpapajon

Super easy to put on the watch and bike. It require some finesse, so I can't give it a 4. Those pins can be tricky!

It's not the easiest to smap in and out of the mounts, but you don't really want it to fall out either. I wouldn't want to trade one for the other, for sure.

Great accessory.

Wristband is VERY versatile with the Velcro closure.

(5)

Wide band makes for comfortable fit.

Again...velcro band for the wrist. The bike mounting bracket is minimalist in nature, but could use some other mounting options. It woulnd't have been hard to do. It's even worse for me because my 2009 Fuji Roubaix has bars that taper away from the stem, so my bike mount tends to slide and rotate a little.

Takes a licking and keeps on...going. The only reason it's not a 5 is that using zip-ties to attach it to a bike seems like a cop-out. I'm going to work on a stem-mount for it using something a little more durable. I'll post pics eventually. This also prevents damage to the contacts from sweat because the back of the unit never comes in contact with the skin and sweat.

Honestly, this should be included with the 205 and 305 out-of-the-box. However, I understand why they did it this way. $25 is just a LITTLE much, but Garmin understand price points and knows that we'll pay up to $29.99 without thinking about it.

(5)

I think it adds to the appearance of the watch for running. Also, the bike mount makes the Garmin unit look like it's a true bike computer and not a watch-turned cycling GPS.

(5)

Does it's job. Practice snapping it in and out so you don't lose time on race day.

(1) More adjustable band.
(2) Increase unit life due to reduced contact wear
(3) Creates a more versatile multi-sport tool

(1) Lack of bike-mounting options.
(2) Reflective strip on wristband would be easy and helpful.
