"This purchase worked out great for me. I was looking for my first real road bike, and was on a budget--$1000-1500. I was close to buying online, but had been searching the LBSs in my area for something used. One LBS owner suggested this QR Split, that he could build up with some parts off of a frame someone had traded in. I've been very pleased with it so far."MCA
Quality of Construction
Outstanding so far, but it's only been a month. The carbon frame is light and stiff.
Fit
Perfect for me--I am 6'1", 205 lbs. and this is a 58cm frame. Final fitting was done at the LBS to dial it in.
Comfort
I had been borrowing a friend's road bike prior to this purchase, and it was comfortable, but not even close to the comfort of this bike with the fitting done by the store.
Adjustability
It seems that the fitting allowed for a wide range of adjustments.
Durability
Too early to tell, but so far so good.
Value
This was a new frame, but had it built up by the LBS with used parts--Ultegra shifters, Dura-ace brakes and RD, 105 FD, SRAM Red cranks.
Appearance
Black and white scheme is nice. Build-up is a bit of a Frankenstein, but everything works together really well.
Customer Service
Haven't had to tap into QR's service
Performance
I am definitely faster on this bike than on the one I was borrowing (and wasn't fit to me).
Strengths
Affordable, high-quality frame that fits me well.
Weakness
None yet.
