"Awesome training tool. Definitely the budget friendly way to get GPS + HRM in one. I wrestled between the 305 and the 310xt for a while and came to the conclusion the the 305 offers the same main functions for 1/3 of the price. If you dont need the watch in the water then I would highly recommend picking up the 305."ewoolf44
Comfort
Comes with 2 sets of different sized rubber straps but I picked up the quick release wrist strap. I prefer the velcro strap but both are as comfortable as any watch.
Durability
Actually dropped it off my bike going about 25 mph and still looks and works like brand new. Seems pretty durable to me.
Value
Great value for a GPS watch. Of course the new 310xt is popular but the 305 is 1/3 of the price and has the same basic important features.
Appearance
Seems a little big at first but after a couple of uses I dont notice it.
Customer Service
Have not needed customer service.
Performance
Has been an invaluable training tool. Have had NO problems with picking up satellite signal and distances have been just about exact. HRM has also been an awesome addition to training and have had no problems with this function either.
Strengths
Customizable screens will display as much or as little data as you need it to. Eliminates the need to plan out your distances or run around a track to determine mileage. The pace (mins/mile) function combined with the HRM make training and racing way more effective
Weakness
Not waterproof.
- 210 people use
- 6887 workouts logged
- 87596.9 miles / 11179.77 hours logged
Ease of use
Pretty intuitive for me. Don't usually use need the more advanced feature so can't comment on using them.
