"I have no problem recommending this. I haven't much time on the "fancy" brand trainers but really have no motivation to pay more for a pretty basic exercise tool. My wife was given the magnetic trainer by ascent which also works well but I prefer the fluid because the resistance seems more natural and I get a better workout."cbrave

The unit is assembled upon arrival. Installing the bike takes some getting used to. It is very hard to turn the rear "clam" while holding the bike. I think this is a pretty common thing to other trainers. It also takes some time to learn how tight to make the rear wheel so that it doesn't slip yet also spins easier. I tighten and then spin the rear wheel rapidly by hand to check.

There is not much to do other than ride. There are no settings on the device and it works as advertised.

Well constructed. It is sturdy, holds the bike very well and all parts are assembled well. If folds nicely and the fluid unit is stable.

I haven't noticed any wear or change since I purchased. I use it for regular steady riding as well as for spinervals and it has been steady.

It is half the price of other fluid trainers.

It performs to my expectation. It does take some time for the fluid to warm up before the things really smooth out. At the start it kind of rumbles but once the oil is warm, it is nice and quiet. It does have a lot of resistance and so an hour + on the unit does feel much harder than a regular hour of riding.

Price, does what it needs to do, stable.

Takes a bit to warm-up.
