"So this is a LACED version of the VFF Bikila. They're all black with white laces and accents. The sole is the same as the Bikila. They were released in 2010, Europe only. I was willing to spend a little more to get them early, so purchased them from a U.K. dealer online.
Wow! I owned a pair of KSO's before, and loved the way those felt, but these were absolutely great with the laces. You could really tune in how they fit around the top of your foot.
The soles give great protection from rocks, etc...I was able to run across large gravel (careful of turning an ankle) without discomfort.
One word of note about VFF's and running. Make sure you start small with them!!! I cannot state this strongly enough. I made the mistake of going out on a four mile run the first time and was sore, unable to run, for two weeks. Afterwards, I did some 1, then 2 mile runs twice a week before I felt comfortable.
If/When they become available in the U.S. I would highly recommend these if you are in the market for VFF running flats. Well worth the investment."Dagwoodz
Ease of use
Unless you forgot how to walk barefooted, they're pretty easy to use.
Quality of Construction
Very similar in construction to the Bikila's without the elastic upper. They're durable.
Fit
I was lucky in that the online sizing chart was accurate for these. They fit true to size for me, just as my KSO's did.
Comfort
Extremely comfortable! The laces allow you to adjust how tight the upper is on your foot.
Adjustability
The laces are a godsend over the strap on the Sprints, KSO's and Bikilas. Very much adjustable.
Durability
As said above, they're durable. Same sole design as the Bikila's, with the heavy duty pods. I was able to walk over sharp gravel and didn't feel any discomfort whatsoever aside from the occasional point of a rock into the middle of my sole. All of this without losing the sensation of being barefoot.
Value
I paid a premium to have these imported to me from England as they aren't available in the U.S. yet. I'm glad I did personally, but I probably could have waited until a U.S. version was released and gotten them for much cheaper.
Appearance
I love the slightly understated look. If people aren't paying too much attention, they'll think you're wearing normal shoes. Until they look closely.
Customer Service
Haven't had to deal with VFF Customer Service, so no basis to say anything.
Performance
Absolutely great! I felt great as I went out on my first run. Of course, I didn't tone it back like is recommended. Make sure you slowly adjust to these!
Strengths
Extremely comfortable. The laces make adjusting the upper a breeze. They look great, without being overstated. (I know some like flashy looking shoes, I'm not one of them)
Weakness
They're not available in the U.S. yet, so have to pay an import fee to get them stateside.

Ease of installation
Just like any other VFF, it can take some getting used to getting the toes lined up correctly.
