"The bike is a great value. Bikesdirect.com is somewhat of a controversial company, and for good reason. Lots of people pay a lot of money for the same thing as you can buy on BD.com and folks like me that get a sweet bike for a good price annoy them somehow. It's a bourgeoisie thing. I'm a poor college kid, and I got a fine machine for a fair price, and my next bike will probably be a motobecane. I spent a lot of time researching my purchase before I bought it(like 2 months) and you can see what I chose. "Gonzoso

Ease of installation

The bike was easy to put together. The directions sucked but it was common sense.

The bike is well made. The frame is a kinesis and everything is of good quality. The seat isn't even that bad.

Very comfy. The stock seat is okay. I regularly ride 20-30 miles with no problem, even without bike shorts. On my first 50 mile ride my butt got sore, but I had not gotten bike shorts yet.

The value on this bike is freaking amazing. Bikes at the LBS are tons more expensive than this bike and have crappier components. I love this bike and feel it was a great value.

Appearance

The bike is gorgeous. It is a sexy gloss black, it looks villainous. I get compliments all the time.

Customer Service

I had a silly little problem with the brifter and sent them an e-mail. I got a response back within an hour on a friday afternoon. The response was correct, but being mechanically savvy I had just fixed the problem on my own when the e-mail came.

Performance

Shifts great, light weight, efficient. I've cranked on it up steep hills, and hit 50 mph on a downhill. The bike performs admirably.

Strengths

This is a great road bike. It is my first road bike so it seems like a speed machine compared to my old mountain bikes I am used to. The bike is well made, solid, sexy, and is a great ride. This will be my road bike for years to come(barring theft or getting hit by a car).

Weakness

I can't find any yet. Oh wait, the reflectors are lame and don't fit well. I think t hey threw them in the box to cover their liability maybe. But I use lights anyway, I tossed the reflectors.
