"I have now trained with mine for over 9 months and also raced an HIM, IM and several other tris while wearing it. I enjoy the GPS function, though I don't use it as much as I should. The 305 has so many different functions that one will probably never utilize everything (e.g. auto partner, alerts, auto timed laps). However, I enjoy the comfort of knowing that if I wanted, I could upload a map and having something like directions on the 305. To me the possibilities are nearly endless with this product. Simple out of the box set up

Use can be somewhat tricky until you figure out how you want to use the 305. For instance, there are a number of display options that you will need to sort through in order to get your HR where you can actually see it.

No problems

Typical watch band. I was moderately concerned about the size of the Garmin unit. But it is extremely lightweight and has never been a problem.

See fit. No problems. It feels fine on the wrist

(5)

No problems. The watch band is adjustable as is the HR strap

(5)

No problems thus far in over 9 months and 100s of hours worth of training

If purchased on sale then it is a steal. Amazon frequently has it on sale and Garmin offers a $50 rebate.

The watch is big and bulky looking. It isn't as sexy as the polar or timex models.

I love mine and train nearly 90% of the time wearing it. I feel naked without it

Versatility. You can display your HR, zone, pace, avg pace, distance, etc. Your options are endless from a data perspective. Plus uploading the data is really cool as you can pinpoint things on your run.

The watch isn't sexy. You probably shouldn't swim in the watch.
