"I would highly recommend this bike to any triathlete or time-trialer. Although it's a bit expensive, it is not more so than other bikes in its class. It will probably be the last tri bike you buy."NiceTriCoaching
Ease of use
The Speed Concept is still quite new, but it does not appear that it will be a "wash and rinse" type of bike like my Cervelo P3C. There is more time spent on adjusting brakes and checking torque values (by the way a torque wrench is a MUST with this bike).
Quality of Construction
Trek truly outdid themselves on this one. Very nice fit, finish and execution. Every other bike wishes they had the same adjustability and quality of this build.
Fit
One of the most adjustable bikes on the market today. If you don't fit on a Speed Concept, you don't fit on a tri bike. Very nicely done.
Comfort
The Speed Concept has the same great ride quality of my 2011 Madone SSL in terms of stiffness and ride comfort.
Adjustability
If there were ten stars for this category, I'd give it to Trek! Fit and integration are two great hallmarks of this bike.
Durability
Although it's only been ridden for a few months, Trek's reputation for great customer service should address any issues should they arise. Currently, I have had no issues whatsoever.
Value
Reasonable.
Appearance
From the paint to the fit and finish of the carbon parts, few bikes are Trek's Speed Concept's equal. Very nice paint!
Customer Service
None needed yet!
Performance
Stiffness, ride comfort and integration make this bike a great choice. I have yet to re-ride some of my courses from last year, but I'm looking forward to some PR's!
Strengths
Fit, finish, stiffness and integration are exceptional. Trek did a great job making this bike a confidence-inspiring ride.
Weakness
Brakes are not difficult to adjust, but do take time and patience.
Ease of installation
I chose to comment on this category due to the time required to swap from clincher wheels to tubular wheels. The brakes are not terribly complicated, but plan on 30 minutes to access the pads, replace and adjust them.
