"If you want a shoe that promotes a midfoot strike but don't want to pay Newton prices give these shoes a try. The tread pattern and entire shoe is designed for a midfoot strike and it works. Very lightweight, fast shoe, even cures my mild over-pronation without feeling like a stability shoe.

According to the website they even have a race shoe that is the same shoe but has a hatch on the back so you can leave the shoe tied and put the flap down in T2, then when you get off the bike, jam your foot in, flip the hatch up (like a ski boot) and away you go.

Good construction. Very lightweight shoe, I like the suede tongue and the overall design.
The shoes even have water vents for when you dump water on your head, it runs out the back and front of the shoe.

I had to go a half size bigger than normal. I tried the 10 which is what I usually wear but my toe was hitting the end. Went with a 10.5 and they fit fine.

Pretty roomy in the toe box. I slid around a bit at the beginning but now that I have them broken in they are fine.

The sole has a bunch of holes in it for water passage. According to the website this shoe is designed for triathlon and they imagine you are going to dump water on yourself at some point. The holes were a bit rough on the soles of my feet at first. I can still feel it a bit after 50 miles but not near as bad. I think one can get used to it, just a different feeling at first.

So far they still look brand new. I don't see any significant treadwear yet but I only have 50 miles in them.

I went from Newtons to this shoe. I liked the Newtons but couldn't stand to pay the $150 price tag when the shoes were only lasting 350 to 400 miles. I got these for $85 so I feel better.

Decent looking shoe. Much better than some of the brooks and Mizuno offerings.

Very light and fast shoe. I did feel it in my calves a bit at first. I came from Newtons so I already went through the rock hard calf phase. These shoes are more minimal in design and have less cushion overall than the Newtons. I like the ability to feel the road a little better but my calves did need to adjust to their new level of beating.

Lightweight. Cheap. Designed for Tri. Minimal but still decent cushioning for those who don't want to go full minimal. Allows me to midfoot strike as well as the Newtons did. No lugs to wear down.

Insole takes a little bit of getting used to, not bad.
