"Overall, I'd give it a solid 4.5 out of 5 points."max

Fairly easy to set up. There is a sparse manual, but the instructions are pretty straightforward. Attach a few pieces to the frame of the trainer and mount the bike to the stand. Route the necessary wiring, and you're good to go. Install the software before connecting the USB cable from the trainer to the computer. There is plenty of cable, enough that you could be as far as 6 feet from the computer if needed.

Everything is fairly self explanatory, though there are a lot of hidden features that will take some exploration to find. The only aid is from the help screen on the program, there is no written documentation in the form of a PDF manual. Maybe I'm old school, but I like written instructions to refer to when it's needed. A point deducted for that.

It's only been in use a couple of days, but it seems to be solidly built and well thought out. The bike feels like a rock, mounted to the rear wheel stand. Three turns on the adjustment crank after initial wheel contact applies sufficient force to the tire so that there is no slippage, even under a heavy load. I was riding up to 400 watts going up a climb with no problems.

Had no problems fitting my bike to the trainer. There is enough adjustability that you would have no trouble even with 650C or 24" wheels.

Has wattage readings, heart rate monitor adaptability (though I don't own one so I can't comment on how well it works.), and the feeling of riding on the road is fairly accurate.

I've only owned it a few days, so can't really commment here, but it seems solid enough.

I've owned a computrainer, and this is less than half the cost and to my mind, it's fairly comparable in features.

Looks to be well thoughout construction, and is moderately quiet as far as trainers go. No indoor trainer is totally sound-free, so if you're in an apartment with people living downstairs, this will probably be as noisy as any other trainer.

Based in Italy...take that with a grain of salt.

Works as advertised! I rode along with one of the included DVDs that was a climb up the Col du Galibier in France and it was pretty realistic. You get a great "in motion" video while you climb. The faster you ride, the faster the video moves on the screen. As the slope increases, the feeling of it getting tougher to handle goes right along with it. I was riding up a 9% grade in a pretty low gear and it was about the same amount of effort that I'd expend doing a similar road ride outdoors.

A good winter training device. If you're bored to death just riding a standard trainer and listing to an Ipod, this might be the ticket to some actual reality riding. Supposedly you can load your own courses, and there is the potential to ride online against other competitors. I have not gotten into it that deeply yet, so the jury is still out here. If you've been on the fence regarding buying a Computrainer, this might be worth a second look.

The lack of a printed manual, but this might not be an issue for some. I had no problems hooking it up to my laptop, which is a 3 year old computer running Windows Vista.
