"After struggling trying to find a shoe with some stability to help out my flat feet through half marathon training and races, I came across these and they have been great. The lightweight construction allows for a racing flat feel under the foot, but the wedge of support underneath the mid-foot helps slight overpronators. Unlike other lightweight shoes in its class, the DS Trainers have a 9mm heel drop, which allows for reduced calf stress for people who have a history of calf/achilles/peroneal issues."martkj0
Fit
Fits on par with most other shoes on the market, especially other Asics shoes.
Comfort
They are very comfortable, and there is no discomfort due to added stability. The only 'problem' I have with them is that the heel clutch does not 'lock in the heel' for me like others have claimed. I actually felt that my heel had more slipping due to the heel clutch system.
Durability
My DS Trainers have well over 300 miles on them so far, with a lot of long distance runs and races on them.
Value
These shoes have been an incredible value! Most websites will offer them on clearance sine they have been replaced by a newer edition in the line.
Appearance
I own the white with fluorescent orange accents, and I love the look. It's all personal preference, but I love the look of white shoes (they make you look faster, of course), and my favorite color is orange.
Strengths
Offers a touch of stability for people who need some, especially over long distances. They are about as light weight as you can get with stability under the foot, and they do not feel bulky.
Weakness
The heel clutch system seems to be a gimmick, at least for me. I felt it did not add any true features to the shoe.

Quality of Construction
Everything is constructed with great quality. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is that for people with flat feet, stitching on the medial side of the arch will rub and cause blisters when trying to run in them barefoot (it claimed to have a sock liner for people who want to run barefoot).
