"These shoes are not yet available, but I got to 'borrow' a pair from Mike Sandrock himself. When I explained that I wasn't quite sold on the N2 shoes (nice shoes, but just not MY type of shoe), Mike asked me if I'd like to try on a pair of N1s; I said "sure, but you don't have any". He said he did have a pair-as long as I didn't mind wearing 'used' shoes. With that said, he literally gave me the shoes from his feet. I rarely LOVE a pair of shoes, but I LOVE these. They're light, flexible, good-looking...yeah, yeah. But they have a certain 'sweet spot' in the middle of your foot that really makes this shoe special. When your stride gets to that certain place, these shoes just come alive. You find yourself WANTING to push a tiny bit harder/longer to keep yourself in that sweet spot for as long as you can. Completely seamless, roomy toebox, very comfortable. THESE are my next shoes."jeffnboise
Fit
True to size (some PIs ran a bit small, but not these). Also, the toebox has gotten bigger-and that's a good thing.
Comfort
They feel more substantial than they actually are, yet, you are in complete 'touch' with the road beneath you. Seamless upper and fat, squishy laces.
Adjustability
Well, they have laces.
Durability
These shoes were used for a test run only. I have NO idea about long term wear.
Value
I don't know when it became 'normal' for shoes to get so expensive, but they have.
Appearance
Very sharp; PI lime-green and black. Similiar to the Transition shoe from last year.
Customer Service
Staff at Shu's Running Co. were superb, as usual. Mike Sandrock himself was on hand to take feedback (and loan out his shoes)
Performance
Truely, a shoe that I'd race AND train daily in.
Strengths
light weight, seamless, well cushioned, roomy toe box, great appearance.
Weakness
$120.00/pair is high, but it's not unusual these days.

Quality of Construction
I've had PI shoes for years-never had an issue with any of them.
