"The only drawback to this bike is, I tend to overdo it when I'm riding it. It lures me to do just one more hill, go around just one more bend in the road... then I'm sore next day, ha ha! My better half threatens to fill the inner tubes with lead to slow me down.
The design is similar to the Cannondale Synapse, with flattened areas in the tubes to soak up vertical shock. It manages to be extremely comfortable yet quick and responsive. Mine is not a wsd, but it only took a shorter stem to make it fit well - the handlebars were shallow and not too wide.
This was a 2011 model on sale in 2012, so may have different parts to more recent models."Seabeast
Quality of Construction
I'm new to carbon fiber, but it seems a very solid bike to me. Look has it manufactured in the far east under their name.
Fit
Had to swap to a shorter stem, an easy adjustment. I'm 5'-8", 31.5" inseam, and ended up with a 53cm size.
Comfort
Very comfortable.
Adjustability
The seat post could be better. It took two sets of hands to swap the saddle out.
Durability
Too early to tell.
Value
A little higher in price than some 105 equipped carbon frame bikes, but most of the parts are 105, with few generic swaps.
Appearance
It's black-white-red, like so road bikes. I like the pinstripe effect of the paint job, makes it just a little bit different.
Customer Service
When I had questions about registering the frame, someone from Look Canada emailed me personally.
Performance
Probably too good a bike for the kind of rider I am right now, but it gently encourages me to go faster and farther. I feel the urge to sprint up hills when riding it.
Strengths
- Extremely comfortable on rough roads
- Very light and responsive
- Good fit for long-leg/short torso rider
- Not many cheap swap-out parts, it's mostly 105
Weakness
The FSA seat post is difficult to adjust or swap saddles with.
Ease of use
Very stable ride, handled well in a ferocious cross-wind at one event I did on it.
