"Seriously great product for power newbies and experts"ratherbeswimming
Ease of use
Super easy - Synced to my Joule, Garmin and Golden Cheetah via an ANT+ stick, with minimal steps and clear instructions.
Quality of Construction
It's a solid wheel - and the PowerTap has worked great so far.
Durability
So far, so good! PowerTap also had a great customer service reputation
Performance
I've only had one ride where, for some reason, it didn't sync with the Joule. I was too busy riding to stop and fix it though :)
Strengths
Easy to set-up, install, use... everything. Can swap between bikes if cassettes are similar, or if you can change one.
Consistent numbers.
Battery life is an estimated 400 hours, and it's easy to change.
Weakness
Need to swap cassette to use between my tri bike (11 speed) and road bike (9 speed) - but works well on both!
- 4 people use
- 218 workouts logged
- 7947.77 miles / 421.59 hours logged
Ease of installation
I had my mechanic swap cassettes from my old wheel to this one, then I opened up my rear brake a little to allow for a wider wheel, and I was all set!
