"This is an amazing piece of engineering. It's just that it's a step up from the B2, and yet I've never felt it was an extension of my body the way I did with the B2. The position is much more aggressive, and it's less adjustable because of the way it's constructed. It's also impossible to find a place to put a Garmin on it that isn't in the way of something else."alicefoeller
Ease of use
No comment - It's easy to ride.
Quality of Construction
This bike is made of top-end carbon fiber. I had SRAM Red components added. But I didn't give it a 5 because the brake hoods shift off to the side easily, and I've had small parts come loose that seem like they should not come loose, such as the bolt that runs through the end of the shifters.
Fit
As a 5'3" woman, it's hard to find a bike that fits. I pretty much have to go with Cervelo or Felt because they are the only ones that drop down to a 650 wheel on the smaller frame sizes, and have a reach that is short enough. So that part works. See adjustability for more.
Comfort
The bike geometry is very aggressive. I rated a 3 out of 5 because it's just not as comfortable as the Felt B2 I used to have. My hand position is substantially lower than the seat height, and that requires a lot of fitness and good back flexibility. Now that I'm almost 40, I'm wishing for the B2 back again.
Adjustability
It has been almost impossible for me to achieve a position with the aero bars where my elbows are bent at the ideal 90 degrees. They just don't adjust enough, and the seat doesn't have to two positions like Cervelo does, and the Felt B2 does.
Durability
The frame and main components are doing great four years in, but little pieces give me trouble.
Value
It's a really expensive bike, so I feel like I should be raving about it, and I'm not. Maybe I'm just a strange size, or not in good enough shape to hold the aggressive position, but I feel like it never was able to adjust well enough to my dimensions.
Appearance
Looks very intimidating.
Customer Service
Haven't had to use customer service.
Performance
Would be faster with a faster engine!
Strengths
Beautiful, sleek, carbon. It's fast.
Weakness
Hard to adjust to a person with short reach, despite a good geometry to start with. Very aggressive position.
