"This bag is incredibly versatile and clearly designed by people who know what it's like to try to get everything you need for transition from the car or hotel in one trip, while walking a bicycle next to you. Quality of Construction
Everything seems very sturdy. The zipper pulls are high quality. The mesh pockets are up to the challenge.
Appearance
Transition bags as a rule look a bit unwieldy, and this one is no different. The branding and styling are fine and the reflective tape on the back is a nice touch.
Strengths
The XTERRA Transition Backpack is huge and seems well built to accommodate everything you would need to carry into transition. Even better, it is made to carry your stuff back to the car when its wet, sweaty and grimy. The wetsuit section is underneath to keep your suit from snagging on anything else. The inside has roomy pockets as well as a concealed zipper pocket for keys, etc. There are roomy exterior pockets for bike shoes, water bottles and more, and the inside of the bag is well designed to keep the wet stuff from touching the dry stuff. The straps are comfortable, even with a heavy load. I would recommend it also for use in other applications, such as a family trip to the beach or waterpark.
Weakness
The inside of the bag is so large and with so many pockets, I find myself having to put it under a light to see where things are. Having reflective tape around the tops of the pockets or a lighter colored interior would be useful.
