"So far I am very happy with the Garmin 305 Edge. It has delivered on all the claims made by Garmin and I have yet to really tap into all the things this device has to offer."firefighter5765
Ease of use
Easier than programming your VCR/DVD player. Menu selection is very well laid out.
Quality of Construction
excellent construction, appears to be very durable, also water resistant to 1 meter for 30 mins.
Adjustability
Comes with a rubber wedge to change angle of unit for better visability. It is also a big plus that you can set up multiple rider profiles and up to 3 bikes. I have set mine up for Bike 1 and my Bike 2 setting is my running data.
Durability
see above.
Value
Look around, many places have good deals on this GPS.
Appearance
Sleek, small and light weight.
Customer Service
Garmin CS was very helpfull prior to puchase and afterwards.
Performance
Very accurate and dependable, just remember to push the start button when you start you r ride and the stop button when your ride ends.
Strengths
Very dependable and easy to use, sleek and light weight. Love the training options and the MotionBased options. Cadence and HRM are excellent training tools.
Weakness
Cost. Compared to purchasing a bike computer w/ cadence and a HRM seperately, the Edge is not cheap.
Ease of installation
Very easy to install, step by step instructions are user friendly.
