"I have bought 4-6 pairs of Alchemys over the past couple years. If I keep on going back, they must be doing something right."sab23
Fit
My feet are not wide and my arch is normal.
Comfort
Lets face it. The shoes that have stability are not the most cushioned shoe.
Adjustability
The knew Alchemy 7 is a little wider than the 6. This has taken some figuring out if you have an average foot width. No big deal though. Just a matter of tightening the shoe laces a little tighter.
Durability
I still own my original pair which I bought two years ago. Once I retire the shoe from running I use it to kick around. Nothing has ever fallen off the shoe.
Value
Great shoe. Allowed me to run when I was going to throw in the towel. A little pricey.
Appearance
I don't really care about this too much. They look like a running shoe.
Performance
The Mizuno Alchemy is a great shoe. I was new to running about two years ago. I almost gave up because of pain in my knee. A friend of mine told me to go to "Runners Alley", a running store in the NH seacoast. They watched me run. They noticed that I overpronate. This shoe has saved me. I have been able to run pain free in two 1/2 marathons.
Strengths
Great shoe if you overpronate. Saved my knees.
Weakness
The alchemy 7 now retails at $100. Pricey.
