"If you are looking for a fluid trainer, I would recommend staying away from this one... the Kurt Kinetic Road Machine is comparable in price, does not leak, and the legs fold for storage, if you need to store it away when not in use."tealeaf

The bike pops right on, no problems.

This isn't rocket science. :) Although I was not crazy about the way you change the resistance.

See my comments under "durability."

The trainer I received, was difficult to make level to the ground. One leg seemed longer than the other one.

If I had been able to make the legs even, I'd give a higher score here. Also, I was not really comfortable with the way you adjust the resistance via the screw-thing in the back. Seemed fragile... if I moved the unit or transported it, the screw moved and the resistance changed.

I used this trainer a lot over the course of a year, and it started to leak fluid from the resistance unit after about a year and change. This is a known and VERY common issue with this trainer... CycleOps uses rubber O-rings to seal the unit. Over time, they degrade, and leak. They claim to have fixed the problem in new versions of this product... by using 2 O-rings.

I am bagging this trainer and going with a different brand. Since I got less than a year and a half out of it, it gets a low score for value. I purchased it on eBay via a reseller, which CycleOps informed me voided the warranty. A replacement RU for this trainer costs $199.99 + shipping.

Took them 3 days to get back to me via email when I asked about the leak. Substandard.

Solid design, heavy flywheel.

Fluid leakage problem is one I cannot ignore. Sure, they have a great warranty, but do you really need to deal with this? The product shouldn't leak. Especially when there are other options out there, comparable in price.
