"This bike is a loaner from my shop while mine is at Trek for warranty repair. The 2008 model is a great light, smooth bike. I through a lot of tough roads and tight turns at it and handled very well!"shrekkc
Quality of Construction
As I expected the carbon fork and stays absorb a great deal of vibration.
Comfort
2008 model's seat is nicer than 2007. I guess Trek heard that one. :-)
Adjustability
Had some issues with getting the brakes square.
Value
For a person in th $1,500 range, I'd highly suggest the 2.1. I currently ride a 2007 Trek 2100 which has very little difference but as an entry level road bike, I was very please with the bike.
Appearance
Very pretty
Customer Service
I will comment that Trek is very very slow with their warrenty claims. I took my back bike to the shop after a frame malfuntion. What was estimated to be a 2 week claim (March) has now been 6 weeks and we still have not recieved my bike. No a knock on the store, but I guess I'd like my dealer to get a little more follow through from his manufacturer.
Performance
Great handling. Great gear turnover.
Strengths
Smooth ride. Very nice wheels on this bike. Great components

Ease of use
This bike is very smooth. The third chainring, I haven't used much but the fact that its there is comforting.
