"It has proved the value of GPS to me, and prompted me to buy a better GPS unit.
It works and if you're willing to put up with it's several shortcomings, it is relatively inexpensive. If you're a bit pickier, buy a 305."Pilot_dc
Quality of Construction
Well built.
Fit
Elastic strap makes comfortable fit easy.
Comfort
Unit is quite large and heavy.
Adjustability
Expander strap allows it to be worn on any part of arm.
Durability
Seems built to take abuse, but I haven't had it all that long.
Appearance
You could try to build an uglier unit, but you would fail.
Customer Service
Unit appears to be deffective as it drains batteries even when switched off. Garmin referred me to the canadian repair center who has not responded to any of my emails.
Performance
Unit does what it was built to do, though does not perform nearly as well as many other more refined, later generation units.
Strengths
Excellent training aid.
Weakness
Not a very refined unit. Many minor annoyances and burns through batteries as though garmin was working for duracell.
- 4 people use
- 6 workouts logged
- 28.49 miles / 4.58 hours logged
Ease of use
Menu's are somewhat counter-intuitive but can be quickly.
