"Net positive, I really like this device and see a great deal of utility and the ability to improve my training with the data it produces."StMaas

The instructions for quick setup were simple, straightforward. Likewise the supporting software was easy to install.

(4)

Considering the range of functions, the interface is organized very well.

(4)

Light, solid, compact especially when compared to prior models and competitive products.

I had read several complaints about the band size and/or wrist discomfort. Ultimately I dismissed those reviews, REI let me try it on in the store and has a strong guarantee policy.

Put it on, set it and forget it. No issues here.

The band has a wide size range. A person would be either very small or very large to not be able to fit this on their wrist.

(4)

Seems solid although I don't intend to drop- or water- test it. It is water resistant, which is nice in the event of a ride or run that gets rained on.

(4)

Although I'm still learning all the functions, I will be using this device for years to come

basic black, goes with everything. Looks more like a thick watch than a wrist-computer/GPS device

I would give Garmin a zero if possible. I submitted a support request x2 due to an issue with the Garmin Communicator plug-in, but have yet to get a response. At the other end of the spectrum, the BT Dev guys appeared to be all over investigating the issue.

So far seems to perform as expected, which is great. The only observed quirk is a ~100 ft. discrepancy between ascents and descents for loop workouts I've done.

Great range of functionality, a single charge lasts and lasts, and it looks good too. Not like a computer or GPS unit, more like a watch.

Garmin Tech support is non-existent, totally unresponsive. This may prevent me from spending money on another of their products. But maybe they're just reaally slooww...
